Department Manager:
Anja-Maria Käßer
The department Education, Service and Development comprises the
AWOthek,
InkuTra (Intercultural Trainings), as well as educational efforts and travels.
Another large area of responsibility of the department is the support for
local branches (Ortsvereine) and open work with senior citizens. The menu of services of the department stretches from
trainings to increase intercultural competence over organizing
recreative programs for kids and youngsters, educational travels and
special travels for adults to an own
recreational and educational program.

In the attractive facilities of the AWOthek we offer advice regarding and access to opportunities for
honorary participation. Besides, there is a rich program, from special classes over honorary courses up to larger events with social and cultural political background. Here, a focus is on the topics of education and health.
As an internal service to the over 500 employees of the regional branch, the department in cooperation with the neighboring
regional branch Fürth develops and maintains the
internal further educational programm.

One of the projects the department is involved in is "Looking afar on eye-level", funded 2009 by the European Integration Funds. It aims at cooperation with organisations by and for migrants.
A central area of responsibility for the department is establishing and developping contacts with private businesses.
