Arbeiterwohlfahrt always considered social integration of immigrants as a task of extraordinary social importance.
Since 1957 AWO in Nuremberg is active in consulting and supervision of emmigrants and people from other countries. With counselling for refugees another area was added in the early 90s.
The department "Migration and Integration" offers the organisational frame for the multitude of AWO services for both fields of responsibility.
It bundles a qualified and differentiated range of services that is both internally and externally networked and oriented at the situations of migrants and serving their social integration.
